Brothers and sisters,
We live in a world that constantly tells us that success, wealth, status, and recognition matter most. People spend their lives chasing things that promise happiness, yet many still experience emptiness and disappointment. The truth is that everything this world offers is temporary. Our possessions fade, achievements are forgotten, and earthly treasures do not last forever.
The Apostle Paul understood this truth. Though he had influence, education, and status, he declared that all these things were insignificant compared to knowing Jesus Christ. Paul discovered that the greatest treasure is not found in what we have, but in whom we know. Jesus Christ is the source of true peace, lasting joy, and eternal life.
When storms come into our lives, money cannot save us, popularity cannot comfort us, and success cannot heal our hearts. But Jesus remains faithful. He is our Savior, our Shepherd, our Hope, and our Strength. In every season of life, Christ is enough.
This does not mean that our work, family, or responsibilities are unimportant. Rather, it means that Jesus must be at the center of everything. When Christ is first in our lives, everything else finds its proper place and purpose.
Today, let us ask ourselves: What are we placing above Jesus? What distractions keep us from fully following Him? May we learn to surrender our priorities, our ambitions, and our worries to Christ, knowing that nothing in this world compares to the glory of knowing Him.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, trust in His grace, and live for His kingdom. For when all is said and done, nothing else truly matters but Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us to seek You above all things. Remove anything that takes Your place in our hearts. Teach us to trust You, follow You, and find our greatest joy in You alone. May our lives reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
